NOT A UFO
THAT BE THE QUESTION
for anyone still behind the wave:
I was in Windsor (Invercargill) practising composition with my camera when I took this snap of the steeple. Look a bit to the right of the crossy bit atop the point and you’ll see an annoying dot …
that I didn’t notice when snapping. I did when checking on screen later, so I expanded the dot lots, in stages, and decided that there was a lot to that dot.
I THEN USED iPHOTO
and further blew it up out of all proportion to common sense just to see what might happen and got this lot—make of it what you will:
the laconic reply from the professionals is herewith in full:
” … I believe it’s very likely a small bird in flight > the white ‘motion’ being the underneath of the birds actual wing [reflection of the sun] … ”
—and there’s no way I have the credentials to doubt their conclusion.
The UFO NZ lady later got back to me with apologies for being a wee bit tardy.
SO HERE I’M
revisiting some of the shots I posted earlier. Please note that all I did was blow them up hugely, immensely, ridiculously, to see what might happen.
AS FOR THIS LAST
I’m damned if I can remember what I did or how I got that with those patterns (‘d be useless as an analyst, I tell you) but quite pretty nonetheless. (Please disregard that arrow-pointer, an artefact of my carelessness when screen-shotting.)
Again, make of it what you will.
I guess that lays that one to rest and I must admit to being just a wee bit disappointed. Okay, I never did expect little green men but something inexplixcable would have appealed to my over-developed senses of the Mysterious. Bummer~!
AND JUST TO CHEER YOU UP
here ’tis again, straight from the expert’s keys:
I believe it’s very likely a small bird in flight > the white ‘motion’ being the underneath of the birds actual wing [reflection of the sun].
—make of it what you will.
