Oh dear …
no self-promoter can resist! But first, a word from our sponsor (me):
IF IT’S FREE, IT AIN’T
worth the price you have to pay, right?
Be that as it may, it’s up to you to judge. So: what exactly is the price? (Free, dammit, how often do I have to say that?)(Sheesh~!)
‘Free’ doesn’t come without cost, ever. But in this case if you want it—free—it’s there for the taking at no charge. (No, no traps either.)
But it may well cost you (aha~!) a little time in the (few) hoops you’ll have to jump through (in my case it was crawl through—clue: think spring-time lamb, not) and the time/effort to sign on (free) with Apple and their iTunes … but if you reach the Pot-o-Gold at the end (my free electronic book) you may just feel it’s worth it.
I wrote it for free—
a. Because I wanted to, and
b. to serve as a vehicle to carry some philosophical ideas out into the world, also
c. because I like amusing people, and
d. because there’s no way I could ever get anyone to pay for it anyway, and
e. because I’m a contrary old poop who dislikes being told what he can and cannot do …
Still with me? Good. Let’s get on with it—
MY WEEKLY PHOTO CHALLENGE COVER ART
is as the shot below:
—The Spouse bought me a Photoshop Elements so that I could modify a single Valkyrie into a decent cover—but I still haven’t learnt how; ergo as far as cover art is concerned you get what you get (a ‘work in progress’) …
It’s an image I downloaded from the web and tweaked to suit my story. More than that, you’ll have to read the book to find out for yourself; it looks like this <—— which is an active link that hopefully will take you to the work in question. Don’t fret the title, it was originally to be ‘Ragnarok Or Bust’ but I’d put it all in caps and Apple didn’t like that, so I tried to amend it and no way could I penetrate their defences … so I changed the title and published it again in their desired format. Weird, but hey—it’s free, and who am I to question a freebie?
SO GO GET ‘EM, TIGER!
(a) it’s free, and
(b) it’s an electronic download
Cover is the only art, the rest is words, words, words and enough of them to keep you amused for a few hours.
I certainly hope so.
